Problem Statement.

A consistent discharge of water from stormwater outlet at no 2 Vermeer has seeped under the gutter, up hill from our property, damaging and cracking the gutter. Water now seeps under the gutter, rarely making its way to the stormwater pit at the bottom of Vermeer Court. This constant flow of water has now saturated the ground under my house foundation causing heaving and cracking. The house now constantly creaks. The upstairs room floor are unstable and creak and move under every footstep.


Recently, ie 4 weeks ago I had Clint, at a cost of $1200 install and Aggie drain at the south fence line of our property.

This may assist in clearing the water away, however the direction of flow from the gutter is no adequately addressed. Another Aggie drain will be required on the western boundary …. Or the warmer from the gutter must be stopped from leaking from the gutter.

After several years now, I am frustrated in the extreme, trying to get resolution to water damaging our foundation, I have started this daily blog post. 

Thurs 30 October 2021.

Wrote not to neighbour, Brendan, no 2 Vermeer crt asking to discuss how water emitting from his stormwater can be addressed. Spoke on phone, he was at work, arranged to meet Friday afternoon and discuss.

Amicable meeting. Viewed swimming pool. Suggested we monitor.

It is my belief that the discharge comes from overflow from swimming pool. He uses $90 water a month. For 6 people in house.

Pool replacement scheduled for Feb 2022.

Tuesday 2nd Nov. 2021

Sarah our neighbour, 1 Vemeer crt, gave us a copy of her submission pion to council, to get gutter repaired.



Wednesday 3rd Nov. 2021. Last night midnight. No water running, however this morning at 1015am, small discharge. Just before rain started.

Blood ell, that girl has some clout. ….street sweeping already. Yay.
One down one to go.

Last rain, previous evening stopped at 1900, now 15 hours later. Water running this side. Other side of street drying.

Saturday 6th Nov 2021.

Send issue description to Geelong City via web app. Asked that , given this is a long standing problem , can they escalate the priority.

City truck arrived and started to repai gutter in front of no 5 Allambee.
Rang city, spoke to tracie, she will getgreg or Aaron to call.

Term 2 Week 4

Major focus this month: Rhythm and Timing.  Bossa Nova Comping: --> before playing this, in fact every piece, develop the habit of counting in . This will set the tempo and set me up for a strong groove. - record myself doing this to see if i can hear the tempo stay steady or if i tend to speed up/slow down!
